When you are on the phone with someone, occasionally you need to refer to something on your iPhone. For example, you may be talking to a friend who needs a phone number for one of your contacts. You can stay on the phone with them while opening the Contacts app to find the number. Here’s how to use another app while on a phone call.
Use Another App
1. While you are on a call, press the Home button (the big round button at the bottom of the screen). This will return you to the Home screen.
2. Tap the app you want to open. You can use the app as you normally would. In our example, open the Contacts app and find the number your friend needs.
3. When finished with the app, tap the green bar at the top of the screen to return to the Phone app.
